Wicked One is a black metal force built upon haunting melodies, relentless aggression, and a singular artistic vision. Conceived by guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter Scott Eames ("Wicked One"), the project unites veteran extreme metal musicians in service of something far more immersive than a traditional band—a fully realized realm built around a singular entity and the mythology surrounding it.

Though its creators are deeply rooted in death metal, Wicked One was envisioned from the beginning as a descent into darker territory. Drawing inspiration from the cold hostility and spiritual intensity of black metal, the band's music explores themes of rebellion, transcendence, forbidden knowledge, and the unseen forces that exist beyond the boundaries of the visible world. Every song, visual, and release serves as a chapter in an expanding narrative centered on the emergence of the Wicked One.

Wicked One is anchored by guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter Scott Eames, whose extreme metal background includes work with Nile, Vital Remains, and Nevalra. Joining him are drummer Darren Cesca "Agares" (Deeds of Flesh, Arsis, Serpent of Gnosis) and bassist Maxwell Lavelle "Malvernis" (The Black Dahlia Murder, Despised Icon, Serpent of Gnosis), forming a lineup of accomplished musicians united by a shared vision of creating something darker, more atmospheric, and deeply rooted in black metal. Together, they channel decades of experience into a sound that balances unrelenting aggression with immersive atmosphere. Cesca's explosive drumming fuels the band's intensity and chaos, while Lavelle's commanding bass work provides a powerful foundation that amplifies the weight and depth of Wicked One's sonic landscape.

The first glimpse into this world arrives with the debut single, "Kneel Before Lucifer." Chosen as the introduction to the project, the track embodies the core DNA of Wicked One—blistering aggression, suffocating atmosphere, and a thematic devotion to darkness and spiritual defiance. More than simply a standalone song, it serves as the first invocation of the Wicked One entity itself, opening the gateway into the larger mythology that unfolds throughout the band's forthcoming releases.

Visually, Wicked One presents an identity every bit as deliberate as its music. The band's logo was created by renowned artist Christophe Szpajdel, known throughout the metal world as "Lord of the Logos," whose legendary portfolio includes work for Emperor, Borknagar, Old Man's Child, Enthroned, and countless other extreme metal acts. The logo was designed to mirror the corpse paint and visual aesthetic of the Wicked One character, further strengthening the connection between music, imagery, and lore.

The cinematic video for "Kneel Before Lucifer" was brought to life by Aimed & Framed, the production team behind visuals for artists including Kerry King, Deicide, Suffocation, and Exodus. Their collaboration helped transform the band's vision into a striking visual manifestation of the darkness and intensity that defines the project.

With multiple singles and videos already completed and a full-length debut album in development, Wicked One is only beginning to reveal the depths of its universe.
